Safety in Numbers is a monthly bookkeeping and money mindset meetup for small business owners who are ready for a grounded, supported and empowering way to stay on top of their finances.

In-person (in the Comox Valley) as well as online options available.

Connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, build awareness around income and expenses, and gently work through the stress or resistance that can come up when looking at our numbers.

If you’ve ever pushed off your financial awareness to your spouse, bookkeeper or accountant, this is your gentle nudge to rethink that and try something new.

Things that are hard are always better when done in community

Money brings up a lot for all of us. It’s a hard one to face and MOST business owners face it less than they’d like to admit. By coworking and collaborating, we get the hard shit done.

Get into a monthly routine that allows you to be financially proactive

We’ve all forgotten a subscription or two from time to time. Setting aside time to be in tune with your expenses helps you plan ahead and make decisions for yourself and your business. You can save money and plan for what’s coming.

Normalize the ups and downs that come with entrepreneurship and get creative about how to handle them.

Being in connection with other business owners of varying industries can be extremely useful in helping us manage the ups and downs of business. It can also help us come up with creative solutions we might not have otherwise thought of.

What you can expect

We meet on the first week of each month to connect and do the money work that we often find ourselves avoiding.

Each session starts with connection where we have guided time to share celebrations and acknowledge struggles.

From there you have a safe and devoted space to put your head down and get your numbers into a very useful tracking sheet (this sheet is provided to you and is accountant approved!).

You will also be given an opportunity for self-reflection (with provided prompts) to uncover and/or work through challenges that might be hindering your financial progress. Coaching support is available if needed and requested.

Sessions are 75 minutes long however there is time to stick around if you want a bit more time to work through things or have questions.

Cost is $28 (incl. GST)

It’s important to note, you will NEVER have to share your numbers with anyone unless you choose to.
